Weird Wednesdays - Honey I'm Home from Las Vegas

For many of you a trip to our home of Las Vegas is filled with benders on the craps tables, over-indulgent nightclub tabs, and a few strangers that might have followed you back to your hotel room for the night. That's all fun and games while you're here but if you have a spouse or a significant other to return home to you may have some issues explaining some of your extravagant expenditures.

Weird Wednesday - Deadliest Catch: The Social Game

One of the biggest things on Facebook since its inception are its games. From Farmville, to Mafia Wars, Scrabble, and even Chess Pro, everyone is playing flash based games in their browser on Facebook. Well not to be outdone by other options the brass behind the hit Discovery Channel show "The Deadliest Catch" are in development with Hive Media for a Deadliest Catch Facebook game.

Weird Wednesdays - Labuat's Soy Tu Aire

This week's Weird Wednesday selection comes in the form of a musical group, a website, and an interactive online music experience. For their first music video, Spanish band Labuat teamed with web designers for a one-of-a-kind 'music video' that likely can never be duplicated. That's because of all the tried and true visual concepts attempted in music video, one where you create the images has never been even attempted before.

The story behind Labuat itself is quite interesting and intertwined if you ask me. Labuat consists of Spanish music producer and publicist Risto Mejide, the Barcelona-based alternative pop band The Pinker Tones, and 2008 Operation Triunfo Winner (a Spanish television show with likenesses to American Idol) Virginia Maestro.

Weird Wednesday - Jimmy Pulls a Conan & the Chocolate Stanley Cup

Here are two completely different videos for your Weird Wednesday:

First we have Jimmy Fallon, host of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, who slipped and fell last night while performing a stunt race with Chelsea Handler. Does that sound familiar? That's because six months ago the same thing happened to former Late Night host, (now former) Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien fell while racing Teri Hatcher and almost seriously injured himself, but only sustained a minor concussion. So here is the clip of Jimmy pulling a similar stunt with similar results ...

Weird Wednesday - Best Thanksgiving Websites

As I've noticed this year, Thanksgiving seems to be the forgotten holiday. As usual, the retail stores were out in full effect for the Halloween season. Pumpkins, candles, costumes, candy were out in force in Mid-October. However joining them this year were Christmas items that in the past have remained in the stockroom until the day after Thanksgiving. Somehow Thanksgiving has turned into the Holiday that Time Forgot this year. Now as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches we're inundated with Christmas commercials, holiday sales and even an early release for Disney's new 3-D spectacular A Christmas Carol. As much of a Christmas lover as I am, I think I'm going to take my time and enjoy the holiday that has always been in between Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving.

So as we approach Thanksgiving in 2009 (only 40 or so days before we supposedly "make contact") I thought we'd take a look at the best websites based around Thanksgiving:

Weird Wednesday - Incredibox.fr

We travel to France once again this week to get our first ever Weird Wednesday post. The first ever post mixes a little bit of 'Mad About Music Monday' with our old 'Website Wednesday' to create today's entry. We'll feature a website that will cure at least 15 minutes to a half-hour of boredom, minimum, and make you feel like a musical genius in the process. You'll make Justin Timberlake, T-Pain & Kanye all look like fools by the time you're done too.

... And We're Back

We took a minor hiatus last week to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and tinker with some of our daily posts. We've added some new features to our blog and will be unveiling more as they become available. New to the blog is Reactions. After each blog post is a set of reactions you can select, a little like Facebook's 'like' feature. We have Funny, Interesting, Awesome, Cool, & Weird, this provides readers to post a comment without writing out a message in the comment field. Also we're beginning to feature Jump Breaks. This allows us to have shorter articles on the homepage of the blog and to create more interaction within our blog pages. Click on ENTRY CONTINUES HERE >>> to view the article.
